The Key to Success | Is There One?

Success is everybody’s dream ... But what is the key to success? How can you be successful? We should measure success based on how much we give rather than how much we receive. Fortunately, it also works nicely the other way around since those who give more almost always will also receive more. Based on that, you can see that the more value you give to others, the more successful you will be. So how do you pave your way to success? How do you become more successful? The answer is amazingly simple.

Here it is: The key to success is making yourself as useful as possible to others.

That’s it. Making yourself as useful as possible to others.

If you focus on applying this, others will realize the value they get from you and they will attract more people to come to you. These new people will also realize the value they get from you and they will attract even more people to come to you. The virtuous cycle begins and you are now on your way to success.

With this principle in mind, you should aim at increasing your usefulness to others. How do you do that? Here are some ideas:

1. Be Observant of Needs

To be useful to others, you should always be aware of even the slightest clues of needs. The more sensitive you are to the needs of others, the more appreciative people will eventually become. The best scenario is being able to anticipate a need before the other people are even aware of it.

2. Find Solutions to the Needs

Now that you are aware of needs, the next step is finding solutions to them. The solutions you offer should be as useful as possible. To be able to do so, there is no other way but to continuously build your own value. It is from the value you have that you could give value to others.

3. Be Proactive to Help

Do not wait for the other person to ask for your help. Be proactive. Give your help even before they ask.

4. Be Sincere

What matters is not only the solution you offer, but also the way you deliver it. Being sincere means being glad to help others without expecting anything in return. Make it your joy to give something to others. People can somehow distinguish whether or not you are sincere.

5. Go The Extra Mile

Doing the above four steps is good, but add this one if you can: give more than expected. First, give what is expected, and then add a little more. If you do the above four steps people will be appreciative, but if you add this one step they will be impressed.

A quote often attributed to Abraham Lincoln goes," Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe." Take a moment to think about what is being said here...

Very often we attack a challenge without a plan and we end up spending countless hours hacking away with little to no progress made. Imagine if, before taking something on, we were to stop and consider the approach and develop a clear and concise roadmap for our activity. Mr. Lincoln understood that hacking away at a tree for 6 hours with a dull axe would result in a great deal of expended energy and the tree still might not fall in the end. He knew that a well prepared axe would allow him to spend his time productively and the end result would be the completion of the task at hand. Remember that activity does not always mean productivity.

As you move forward with this new year, ask yourself these questions: Do I have a clear and concise roadmap of where I want to go and what I want to achieve? Have I properly prepared myself for the challenges ahead or am I simply hacking away at the tree with a dull blade? The proper amount of time invested in the preparation for the task at hand will not only make the work involved less daunting, it will also help to insure that your goal will be achieved!

Why Some People Succeed & Why Some Fail...

Success or failure in network marketing are really two different sides of the same coin. Successful people are those who are willing to do those things unsuccessful people will not.

One of the biggest reasons people don’t do well is that:

1. They give up too quickly

If you expect immediate results and plan to give the business a few weeks to “see how it goes”, this is not the business for you. If, on the other hand, you can put in a part time effort for 6 months or more, you can definitely make yourself some extra money to help with expenses. And, after 2 to 4 years, many people find they can retire and live their dream life.

Can you expect that from your job?

Don’t let the small investment involved fool you. Network marketing is a real business and you need to treat it as such. Expect to take 6 months or more to really learn the business – be ready to “go back to school” metaphorically speaking.

If you bought a franchise for many tens or hundreds of thousand dollars, you wouldn’t just “give it a try”, you’d realize that it’s going to take a few years of full time effort just to get to where you are breaking even.

Network marketing gives you systems, products and an opportunity better than many franchises, so take it seriously. Where else can you set up a residual income for life after only a few years of part time effort?

2. They have unrealistic expectations

Have you seen those ads in magazines with people standing in front of mansions, exotic cars or holding fistfuls of hundred dollar bills? The people who respond to those kinds of ads are hoping to get rich quick with no time, effort or investment.

As a woman, you are probably a lot more practical that that and can see through that hype. If there really was a get rich quick plan that didn’t cost much or take any time, do you think they would be selling it for $29? The way to make the big bucks is by selling people plans that don’t work for $29!

On the other hand, you can make a few hundred extra dollars each month pretty quickly and even more than that after a few months.

3. They think it’s all about selling, not training & teaching

One of the reasons women do better than men in network marketing is that we are more in tune with helping others. While some people think it’s all about selling, you will see that success really comes from helping others to do what you do, not in selling the world.

In fact, the professional salespeople usually fail. Teachers, nurses, and moms who are nurturing and are use to training and teaching do better.

The whole idea of network marketing is to build a large team and all you have to do to do that is to find a few serious people and help them each to do the same. There is a lot of great information available out there about how to do this that you will want to absorb to learn our industry, but most importantly, I will be helping you to do it – you will not be trying to start a new business by yourself.

Your task will be to use the tools the company provides to present the opportunity and let people make up their minds for themselves if it is for them or not – no sales pressure.

The next several blog posts will be focused on why the Hager Marketing Group has chosen the company Zrii as our vehicle to market billions of dollars of product.
